Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Tyler McDermott in Tottenham have charged a third man with murder.
[C] Tyrese Matthews, 20 (06.04.03), of Black Prince Road, SE11, was charged on Wednesday, 19 April. He will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on the same day.
A murder investigation was launched after police were called at approximately 04:20hrs on Thursday, 13 April to Norman Road, N15.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found 17-year-old Tyler suffering from a gunshot injury.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died on the afternoon of Friday, 14 April.
His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Two other men – [A] Tyrese Barnett, 19 (24.02.04), of no fixed address and [B] Leo Reid, also 19 (05.10.03), of Tulse Hill, SW2 – were charged with murder of Sunday, 16 April.
They appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 17 April. We await details of their next hearing.
