19 September 2023 16:05 Man arrested on suspicion of rape of man in Edgware He was taken to a North London custody suite for questioning where he remains.

A man has been arrested in connection with a rape in Edgware.

The incident happened at around 00:40hrs on Wednesday, 6 September when the victim, a man in his 20s, was outside Edgware underground station in Station Road on his way home from a night out with friends.

He was approached by a man who began talking to him, before allegedly raping him in a nearby car park area.

The victim continues to be supported by specially trained officers.

Detectives investigating the incident released images and CCTV footage of a man they wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.

As a result of these enquiries, a 31-year-old man was arrested in Hendon today, Tuesday 19 September.

He was taken to a North London custody suite for questioning where he remains.
