Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Tower Hamlets.
Police were called at 10:44hrs on Thursday, 23 May to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on Cambridge Heath Road, E2.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A woman, aged in her 50s, was treated at the scene. Despite the efforts of paramedics, sadly she died a short time later.
Officers are in the process of notifying her next of kin.
The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.
Closures and cordons remain in place.
