28 May 2023 11:20 Detectives charge man with murder in Wandsworth A man has been charged with the murder of 60-year-old Peter Sisson in Battersea

Detectives investigating the death of a man in Wandsworth have charged a man with his murder.

Paulo Mendes, 27 (15.04.96) of no fixed address was charged on Sunday, 28 May with the murder of Peter Sisson.

He will appear in custody at a magistrates’ court on Monday, 29 May.

Police were called on Tuesday, 23 May after concerns were raised for the welfare of an occupant of an address in Juniper Drive, SW18.

Officers attended – inside the address they found 60-year-old Peter Sisson. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A special post-mortem took place on Thursday, 25 May – no formal cause of death was established and further tests will be carried out.

Due to the circumstances, detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
