Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a report of a man masturbating on a train between Newcastle and Edinburgh Waverley.
On 10 March, a woman was travelling on the 2.28pm service from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverley when during the journey, after Newcastle, a man came and sat opposite her.
Between 5.50pm and 7.30pm the woman saw the man masturbating. He then left the train at Edinburgh.
He is described as 17-18 years old, white, 6ft, proportionate build, sandy coloured hair shaved at the side and longer on the top. He was wearing a multi-coloured patterned, 90’s style, bomber jacket with black across the shoulders, a bright purple t-shirt and loose-fitting blue jeans.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has any information to come forward and assist the investigation.
