Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on the platform of Bellshill Railway Station.
On 15 April, at around 11.37pm a man assaulted a woman on the platform of the station. A member of the public intervened and he was then seriously assaulted by the same man. The victim was hospitalised with a head injury. He has now been discharged.
The man is described as white, with a Scottish accent and has a shaved head with lots of tattoos. He was wearing dark coloured clothing, however, removed his top to reveal his bare chest at the time of incident.
