Appeal for witnesses in connection to attempted murder investigation – Billericay

Detectives from BTP are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a car at Billericay station this weekend.Officers from BTP and Essex Police were called to Radford Way shortly before 1.30 am on 18 March following reports of a man being hit by a car. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance where he remains in a critical condition.

Following enquiries, a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection to the incident.

Joshua Lloyd, 27, and of Oak Green, Billericay, appeared at Southend Magistrates’ this morning (20 March) charged with attempted murder and taking without consent.

He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened to come forward and assist the investigation. In particular, they are urging taxi drivers who will have been at the taxi rank at the time and in the nearby area to double check their dash cam footage around this time.
